Senior Engineer, Safety - Basingstoke, UK
We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Safety to join our client’s Safety and Environment team in Basingstoke, UK. In this role, you will contribute to projects by advising on HSE regulatory compliance and potentially acting as the Project Discipline Leader (PDL) on individual projects.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrable experience working on energy projects, including oil and gas design projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to produce high-quality deliverables on schedule.
- Experience in writing HSE Plans and Philosophies.
- Familiarity with SIMOPS and ALARP demonstration.
- Experience in Safety Cases and working on CDM and decommissioning projects.
- Knowledge of CCS projects and attending safety workshops (HAZID/HAZOP/SIL/ALARP).
- Experience in conducting site surveys and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working on multinational FEED projects.
- A team player willing to develop new skills and share knowledge with others.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:
- Produce project safety deliverables, including HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, and Terms of Reference for Safety workshops.
- Attend and contribute to safety workshops such as HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL.
- Manage and sign off on safety actions.
- Liaise with clients and, when necessary, external stakeholders.
- Act as PDL for UK projects, ensuring timely delivery of project schedules.
