Your tasks

  • The position could be based in London, Cologne, Hamburg, Milan or Paris, depending on the candidate.
  • You will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in business intelligence, data analysis, contributing to an efficient sales strategy development. You will lead the charge in providing strategic insights, forecasting accuracy, and actionable recommendations to drive sales performance and revenue growth.
  • Strategic Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Lead the collection, organisation, analysis, and interpretation of sales/turnover/revenue data from multiple sources including CRM systems, sales reports to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated sales dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Drive the development and implementation of advanced analytical techniques to enhance sales performance tracking and reporting.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics to track sales performance, productivity, and effectiveness. Monitor performance against targets and benchmarks and provide regular reports and updates to sales management.
  • Sales Process Optimisation: Identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains within our sales process. Work with sales and Ad Operations teams to streamline processes, automate workflows, and implement best practices to enhance sales productivity and effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, finance, supply and product, to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives. Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and product launches.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration and optimisation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with other sales tools and our IT infrastructure. This includes data synchronization, customizations, and automation to streamline sales processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Forecasting and Planning Leadership:
  • Spearhead the sales forecasting process, planning, collaborating closely with sales management to develop accurate forecasts and revenue projections.
  • Utilize advanced statistical modelling and predictive analytics to forecast future sales performance and market trends.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insights and analysis.
  • Business Intelligence Tools Optimization:
  • Lead the optimization and utilization of business intelligence tools and systems within the sales organization, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Champion initiatives to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on sales data analytics tools and platforms, providing training and support to team members as needed.
  • Competitive Intelligence and Market Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor activity, market trends, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to sales and marketing teams to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate competitive threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute targeted strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Cross-functional Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Act as a key liaison between the sales organization and other departments, fostering collaboration and alignment on sales performance metrics and objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in sales processes, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the sales analytics team, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior business intelligence or analytics role, preferably within a sales or revenue-focused function.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI) with a proven track record of applying advanced analytical techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights, KPIs and recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from conception to execution in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep and strategic understanding of sales processes, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and sales performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
