Job Description
The Senior Sales Trainer (m/f/d) (Learning and Development (L&D) / Performance Consultant) is responsible for analyzing sales performance gaps and providing recommended interventions that maximize sales productivity and effectiveness. This role will partner with approximately 200 sales leaders (m/f/d) and reps (includes Field, Inside and Channel-Sales) in several countries across Europe, with a special focus on Germany to start.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with and advises sales leaders (m/f/d) in Field, Inside and Channel Sales to drive an increase in key performance indicators at the individual and team level to maximize performance results for the sales organization
  • Engages and builds effective relationships with all levels of sales leaders for their assigned business as the key liaison and subject matter expert for all ongoing Learning & Development needs (i.e., new hire, continuing education, leader development, etc.)
  • Proactively partners with sales leaders and other sales support functions (i.e., product management, marketing, sales operations, etc.) to seek out and interpret gaps and suggest best practices i.e., identify and prioritize performance issues, high priority initiatives or process improvement ideas for the assigned segment business (or team).
  • Collaborates with an instructional designer to identify innovative solutions and execution plans for various blended learning programs including, but not limited to live and virtual instructor led training, sales and product certifications, online learning, etc.
  • Keeps current with emerging trends and best practices in the learning and sales enablement space
  • Analyzes the effectiveness of training and workshops to sales and delivers the appropriate modification, 1:1 coaching, and reinforcement as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree or relevant work experience
  • Requires 3+ years of relevant, related sales training experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in or supporting sales organizations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as experience working in a CRM
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English
  • Proven track record in performance improvement initiatives

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with or certification in a needs-based / consultative selling methodology
  • Ability to be agile and adapt to a changing environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interacting with all levels of employees and management
  • Self-starter that takes initiative; seeks out and has ability to drive change through persuasion and leadership.
  • Project manages with a highly collaborative style, deadline sensitive high priority programs and deliverables with a team-focused attitude.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills

Travel requirements
20%-30% travel required– trips for trainings, sales office visits or team meetings when necessary
