Senior SAP ABAP Developer (Remote)

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
• Deep experience in SAP ABAP development and SAP projects.
• Awareness of clean core extension concepts, i.e. in-app extensibility, and side-by-side extensibility.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly, even under pressure
• Ability to work remotely.

SKILLS WE VALUE:

• Experience upgrading SAP ECC to S/4 HANA.
• UI5 & Fiori
• Understanding of clean core/lean core concepts and techniques.
• Highly analytical and focused on continuous improvement.
• Relevant technical certifications a plus.

This is a hands-on technical role that requires knowledge of SAP development. The Senior ABAP Developer position supports.

• ABAP Objects (and Object-Oriented development skills in general)
• Gateway services, SOAP and REST based web services
• OData Services
• Web Dynpro ABAP
• SAP Workflow

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• You will design, develop, and support application solutions with a focus on SAP Netweaver - ABAP.
• You will work on the entire software development lifecycle including documentation and project artifacts.
• You will contribute to the migration of two large ECC systems to one unified S/4 HANA system.
• You will help establish enterprise-wide standards for application development and integration including S/4 clean core development techniques.
• You will assess and optimize the performance of new and existing programs.
• You will create and maintain technical design documentation.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

• This position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role
