Description:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- The successful candidate should be a graduate with preferable 3-5 years of management;
- Excellent communication and English skills are essential;
- A positive personality, effective interpersonal skills and excellent organisation; planning, organising and maintaining records, is essential
- Should have a high level of computer literacy
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To communicate with parents regarding detentions, attendance issues and welfare concerns on behalf of the pastoral team;
- To support the safeguarding team and attend weekly safeguarding meetings to keep an accurate record of minutes;
- To support pastoral staff with the setting and recording of school exclusions, maintaining an accurate record in ISAMS;
- To support pastoral staff (when necessary) in the supervision of students undertaking internal exclusion;
- To create the Winter, Summer and Ramadan duties rota and communicate regarding duties to staff;
- To coordinate whole school events related to pastoral care including parent workshops, staff inset and school photographs;
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues based on effective two-way communication;
- To ensure that agendas are shared in advance of meetings with colleagues and to distribute minutes in a timely manner subsequent to them;
- To oversee the school locker system, mobile phone confiscation procedure and lost property management;
- To ensure whole school pastoral policies are kept up to date and that updates are shared with staff.
