Company: The Moore Group
About Us: The Moore Group, a recognized leader in strategic consulting, partners with Fortune 100 healthcare organizations to transform complex scientific and operational strategies into high-impact communications. With over 27 years of experience, we help organizations achieve clarity, alignment, and engagement across their scientific initiatives.
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientific Communications Consultant to lead the creation of a comprehensive executive presentation on Pfizer’s Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) strategy. This high-visibility role requires a professional with expertise in scientific storytelling, who can translate complex I&I research and data into accessible, visually compelling presentations for a senior executive audience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Life Sciences, Immunology, or related fields and has successfully developed executive-ready scientific communication materials within the pharmaceutical industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Life Sciences, Immunology, Biomedical Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in scientific communications, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
  • Demonstrated experience developing scientific presentations or executive communication materials that support strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in translating scientific data into clear, audience-appropriate visual formats (PowerPoint, data visualization tools).
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic areas, including Immunology and Inflammation, and the ability to effectively communicate scientific concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience managing high-stakes deliverables within tight timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with senior scientific and executive leaders.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience working with or consulting for major pharmaceutical companies.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools and advanced PowerPoint design skills.
  • Familiarity with branding and style guidelines within a corporate setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of I&I strategy documents, identifying core themes, scientific insights, and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and implement an interview guide for discussions with I&I leaders, synthesizing information to refine messaging and strategic narratives.
  • Engage directly with scientific leaders to capture insights, prioritize themes, and align on key visual storytelling elements.
  • Lead the creation of a 30-slide presentation that effectively communicates I&I strategy, ensuring scientific accuracy and visual clarity.
  • Design data visualizations, infographics, and other presentation elements that convey complex scientific information in a clear, impactful manner.
  • Collaborate with our graphic design team to maintain alignment with Pfizer’s brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
  • Incorporate feedback from Pfizer’s leadership and iterate on presentation materials to achieve a final, executive-ready deliverable.
