L’Oréal set its sustainability ambitions for 2030 in the context of growing environmental and social challenges within the L’Oréal for Future program. R&I is a major stakeholder of this program and deeply involved in the acceleration of the transformation of L’Oréal towards a model respecting the planetary boundaries.
Within the L’Oréal for the Future, R&I team, we are looking for a Senior Sustainability Specialist II to help support our ambitious L’Oréal for the Future commitments all along the value chain, from renewable carbon strategy to brand activation & roadmaps.

As a Senior Sustainability Specialist II in our L4TF Team, your main responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate between multiple stakeholders within the organization to help drive the operationalization of our L’Oréal for the Future commitments.
  • Enable the development and implementation of internal roadmap and actions plans for production development by R&I teams.
  • Upskill and support R&I teams to utilize tools and data driven analytics.
  • Provide foresight on low carbon technology, industrial and market trends to unlock the defossilization and decarbonation of ingredients.
  • Integrate external sustainability ecosystems and represent L’Oreal for the benefits of L’Oréal for the Future program.

To Succeed In This Position, you have:

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science is required. Masters preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in product R&D and project management is required
  • Advanced formulation, analytical and project management skills preferred
  • Cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills to work with internal and external partners
  • An analytical mindset who can devise clear, strategic roadmaps
  • The ability to be onsite, in the office as this is an essential function of the position (required)
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis, without the need for legal sponsorship now or in the future (required).
