Description:
The research group “Physiological Plant Ecology” of Prof. Dr. Ansgar Kahmen of the Department of Environmental Sciences is looking for a postdoc or senior scientist who will coordinate and conduct research at the Swiss Canopy Crane II (SCC II) experimental site https://ppe.duw.unibas.ch/en/sccii/. At the SCC II site we conduct long-term experimental research in a mature forest, assessing the responses of temperate tree species to climate change and drought.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a dynamic, reliable and motivated candidate with a PhD in biology, forestry, environmental sciences or related disciplines. Strong interest in process-oriented research in plant physiology, experience with sensor networks (automated dendrometers, sap-flow systems) and with processing and statistical analyses of large datasets is important. Teamwork within the group and associated partners requires spoken and written English and (ideally) German language skills.
