POSITION SUMMARY
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Scientist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. As a Senior Scientist, your day-to-day tasks will involve conducting research, analyzing data, publishing findings, and collaborating with colleagues. You will play a crucial role in advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to breakthrough discoveries in your field.
Tumorigenesis Drivers: Our research aims to unravel the intricate mechanisms that underlie the development and progression as well as drug resistance of lung cancer. Leveraging state-of-the-art techniques such as genomic sequencing, transcriptomics, spatial transcriptomics, and advanced imaging, we are dedicated to identifying the key genetic, molecular, and cellular factors that contribute to the initiation and growth of these cancers as well as drug resistances. Notably, our investigation involves the use of Patient-Derived Xenografts (PDX) to closely model the tumors found in patients, enhancing the clinical relevance of our findings.
Therapeutic Mechanisms: Building upon our comprehensive understanding of cancer biology, we are actively exploring innovative therapeutic avenues. Our team is at the forefront of developing a groundbreaking treatment modality that capitalizes on our advanced technology currently in the final stages of commercialization. - Collaborates on designing, conducting and reporting of research projects.
