Description:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Life Sciences, or related discipline.
- Substantial and relevant post-graduate experience within academic or industry setting, preferably including an MSc or PhD in a relevant scientific area.
- Experience of histology, in situ hybridisation and imaging laboratory procedures
- Histological skills, such as:
- FFPE Tissue sectioning using microtome
- Immunohistochemistry
- In situ hybridisation (e.g.: RNAscope)
- Experience handling human tissue
- Ability to follow protocols
- Computer literate and ability to familiarise with different IT systems
- Excellent numeracy and English language skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Responsibilities:
- In partnership with senior members of the team, conduct biopsy sample processing and laboratory analysis to enable translational sciences and/or clinical study objectives.
- Analyse, summarise and record experimental results and maintain relevant databases and records
- Participate in group/project meetings and discussions. Contribute to data interpretation and communication, including the scientific content of manuscripts and internal/external presentations
- Contribute to routine lab maintenance
