Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Physical Security Officer to drive and deliver a compliant, effective and efficient service to all employees, contractors and visitors, relating to airport pass requirements, in order to achieve operational and business objectives.
An ideal candidate should possess effective communication skills, have strong attention to details and information monitoring, maintain discretion when dealing with people and documents, should be customer-focused with a drive to deliver exceptional service.
This role location will be based in DWC, Al Maktoom Airport, at Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS). DANS provides air navigation services at four airports in the UAE, one of which is the world’s busiest airport for international passengers, where their mission is to empower and develop all their people in delivering world-leading air navigation services that exceed every standard, assure their customers, and shape global innovation.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure the completion of all activities required to ensure all employees, contractors and visitors are fully supported and able to obtain the required passes on time.
Supporting applicants in completing applications and obtaining any supporting documentation. Ensuring all documentation provided is fully compliant with current requirements, and is managed in line with policy and statutory obligations
Responsible for ensuring the correct procedures for all types of airport security and other passes are followed. Keep up to date with any changes to the pass application process and ensure the update of the internal processes, procedures and policies as and when required.
Liaison with key stakeholders including the Police, Airport Pass Offices, airport authorities and the applicants, track all pass applications and ensure applicants are kept informed of progress. Forming and maintaining professional working relationships with all stakeholders is essential.
Manage the maintenance and updates to databases, files and trackers in line with operational, statutory and audit requirements, standards and policies and ensure data integrity at all times.
Work efficiently and comply with all office systems, standards, policies and procedures.
Answer all telephone calls professionally, promptly and effectively, redirect calls appropriately and where necessary take message and pass these to the correct person.
Adhere to the applicable information security policies and procedures of dans.
Attend Safety and Information Security awareness sessions conducted within dans.
Specific Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data processing and in and administration position
Knowledge of online/manual government pass application processes
Knowledge of airport security requirements, including physical access control
Aviation industry experience preferable
Knowledge of administration and management processes within a large organisation
