REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience implementing security for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in a public cloud environment
  • Subject matter expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Purview and M365 security
  • Experience using Varonis, Forcepoint & other cloud security solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT-related work
  • Retain one or more of the following certifications: SC-400, AZ - 500, Azure – Solution Architect, Azure Security Engineer, CCSP or CISSP
  • Experience in solution architecture, DevSecOps practices, and cloud integration.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services.
  • Experience with designing and building Azure infrastructure and security features
  • Significant experience with M365 security controls such as Defender for Cloud Applications, M365 DLP and more.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines and Secure DevOps processes.
  • Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, SAML, etc.).
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Terraform, PowerShell, Perl, Python, or Java
  • 2-3 years overall M365 and Azure experience
  • Understanding of cloud security capabilities and risks
  • Strong security inclination
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in professional experience

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cloud Senior Security Consultant reports directly to the Cloud Security Practice Director, works with clients to advise clients, design and deliver technical engagements and serve as a technical SME for Microsoft cloud security. This position helps lead the security strategy and vision of cloud and cloud/hybrid applications of all types, including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), as well as the design and development of the M365 and Azure Platform security architectures including data protection capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise for data protection, cloud platforms, cloud-based system and application security during design and implementation.
  • Develops client security platform requirements during the design of the client’s cloud architecture.
  • Designs and develops security architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid-based systems.
  • Possesses a firm understanding of Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention and Microsoft Purview
  • Assists clients with the development of strategy, roadmaps, and deployment plans for enterprise information protection and cloud platform usage
  • Maintains up-to-date, detailed knowledge of the IT security industry.
