Description:
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to automate tasks in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Tool or software development experience in one of Python, JavaScript, GoLang or Kotlin
- Ability to develop simple ETL processes for extracting data from security tools via RESTful API, transforming that data and loading it into tools such as Splunk where you will create meaningful visualisations and dashboards
- Can learn new technology quickly
Finally, there is an opportunity to gain unique experience and upskill offensive security skills by participating in Red Team & Purple Team activities.
Responsibilities include developing, maintaining and implementing automation solutions, supporting the maintenance of vulnerability and attack surface tooling, collaborating with DevSecOps/Governance, Assurance, Risk and Architecture function and visualising critical and high vulnerabilities within the organisation.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in automating governance and supporting the offensive team to test our controls and enhance our overall security posture. They will be proficient in working within a complex digital environment that employs agile methodologies.
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer who has worked with various attack surface tools and has substantial automation experience, including custom tool development (bonus points if this is a security related tool), dashboarding, and continuous scanning experience. They will be familiar with merging various threat feeds to provide visibility over our threat landscape. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to distil highly complex scenarios into plain English for C-suite executives and engineering SMEs. Excellent people, communication both written and verbal skills. They will need to be organised and work effectively within a dynamic team, with a passion for offensive security, keeping abreast of latest developments and trends and applying within the team.
You must be a self-starter, able to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making well-informed decisions in fast-paced environments.
