Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW
To provide the most safe, secure, and welcoming venues in the UK at the NEC Group Venues, by delivering on the OCS @ NEC Group security strategy, whilst delivering all security and traffic operations for the NEC campus.
This is a leadership role that will empower the team members to grow and develop, whilst ensuring there is governance within the organisational agreed operational frameworks.
To synchronise and coordinate the wider security and operational teams to ensure a smooth delivery and safety of all stakeholders, whilst building strong security relationships with local and national security stakeholders across all sectors that OCS and NEC Group operate within.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Line manage and lead the team at the NEC convention venues (ICC and VOX), including the infrastructure and event security.
- Be a security leader for the NEC convention sector supporting campus security stakeholders and tenants.
- Own the P and L for the convention sector.
- Support close working relationships with other OCS colleagues who work on the NEC contract, specifically adopting the one team approach with the soft services members of the team.
- Be actively involved in the incredible experiences program, driving the customer services aspect to enhance the customer journey.
- Work closely with the central services team, who manage the colleague journey.
- Provide accurate and timely management reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Active involvement and leadership, by attendance in high profile, footfall, and risk events across the NEC Group.
- In conjunction with the NEC Group operations, create and deliver a program of training and exercising, including tabletop training across the NEC convention sector, including all security stakeholders.
- Build relationships with local policing and CTSA’s.
- Ensure compliance from all direct reports, ensuring they operate within the framework identified within the security plan and security strategy.
- Complete accurately and timely management reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Form part of and actively engage in the NEC Security Board, completing the required reporting for the Convention sector of the business.REQUIREMENTS
- Level 4 spectator safety or working towards
- Experience of working in the event or sporting fields.
- Experience of working at high footfall locations.
- Knowledge of risk management.ABOUT YOU:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- You will be able to work to deadlines and prioritise as well as be flexible with working hours and days.
