WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior Security System Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and security system design, implementation, and management within large infrastructure projects. The role is responsible for overseeing the security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, etc.) for a major power transmission project in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications in security systems, electronics, networking, protection, or IT infrastructure. This individual will ensure that all security solutions are aligned with project specifications and operational requirements.

Your new role, what’s involved?

• Strong experience on Security Systems: CCTV, Video Management Systems, Access Control, Building Management System, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems, Servers, Recording storage, system networking.
• Provide technical support and system maintenance for existing security systems.
• Plan and execute corrective and preventive maintenance activities for security systems and manage related contracts
• Ensure designs adhere to Client’s Security Technical Specifications
• Review and evaluate security-related tender submissions
• Review of Materials Approved for Submission (MAS) Documents, Design Review and feedback
• Reviewing and updating Technical Specifications for New-build Grid Station Security Systems
• Implementation oversight in relation to all security-related projects
• Take the lead in Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing
• Maintenance of existing Security Assets and systems including supervision of maintenance contractors
• Ensure the security systems comply with Cyber Security Standard and HSE requirements.
• Liaise with Security Control Room staff and follow-up maintenance issues until close-out.
• Making sure that security systems are functioning to the appropriate Client’s standards.
