About this Role:
The Non-Clinical Services Manager plays a critical role in overseeing all facets of non-clinical studies, ensuring they are executed efficiently and in alignment with GLP standards. This role involves managing the end-to-end process from planning and execution to monitoring of studies, as well as ensuring the timely delivery of scanned slides and digital data from both internal and external labs. As the Principal Investigator for GLP-compliant studies, the manager is responsible for all aspects of study design, execution, data analysis, and reporting. They also maintain and grow a network of non-clinical pathologists, facilitating effective collaboration. A key point of client contact, the manager is committed to enhancing client relationships and satisfaction by addressing concerns, providing updates, and maintaining open lines of communication. Additionally, they work closely with the technical team to influence product design and ensure the usability and effectiveness of services. Regular reviews and audits are conducted to uphold high standards of quality and regulatory compliance, while continuously seeking opportunities to refine and improve non-clinical operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a life-sciences undergraduate qualification (e.g., biology, microbiology, toxicology, biochemistry, or pharmacology) is desired but not required.
- Heightened sense of urgency and focus is essential.
- Proficiency with basic computer programming skills, including basic Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team, as well as the ability to manage up.
- Must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take ownership.
- Must be effective at time management and personal organization / planning.
- Prior experience in healthcare or pathology services is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of non-clinical studies, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring they are conducted efficiently and in compliance with GLP standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external scanning labs to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of scanned slides and digital data for studies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive onboarding materials and processes for new slide scanning clients, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Streamline logistics for slide scanning and data handling to maximize efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
- Act as the Principal Investigator (PI) for GLP-compliant studies, overseeing all aspects of study design, execution, data analysis, and reporting.
- Maintain and expand the non-clinical pathologist network, ensuring effective collaboration and communication between all parties involved.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring satisfaction through regular communication, updates, and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Work closely with the technical team to provide input on product design and development, ensuring that client and study needs are met and that products are optimized for usability and effectiveness.
- Ensure all non-clinical services adhere to internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements, conducting regular reviews and audits as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in non-clinical operations, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
