Description:
Our Project Support team in Gelsenkirchen is looking for YOU!
Responsibilities:
The Site Manager is responsible for the realisation of a project on site and is part of the Uniper project management team. He leads the Uniper Site Team and is responsible for the suppliers directly commissioned by Uniper in compliance with the authorisations and legal regulations. In particular, he ensures compliance with building regulations and assumes the tasks and duties of the client (if commissioned) on the construction site on the basis of the contract. The Site Manager is responsible for the coordination of all work related to Uniper with regard to occupational safety, the agreed quality requirements and the timely completion of the construction project. He is also responsible for the proper and timely collection and archiving of the so-called construction management-relevant inspection documentation. Registration, electronic recording and filing are carried out in close cooperation with the document management team and in coordination with the responsible QA/QC manager.
The main tasks and duties of the Site Manager include:
- Ensuring compliance with the applicable Uniper site regulations and all preventive measures for accident prevention
- Coordination of HSSE activities on the construction site, in particular with regard to the interface with ongoing operations (Permit to Work System)
- Coordination of quality assurance measures on the construction site
- Management of the Uniper construction site team
- Management and recording of construction site coordination meetings with suppliers
- Interdisciplinary coordination of activities taking place on the construction site in all technical, organisational and commercial matters
- Drawing up proposals and suggestions for processing on the construction site and reporting to project management
- Monitoring the contractual regulations between the client and contractor
- Monitoring deadlines, reporting deviations from deadlines and developing proposed solutions to make up for project delays
- Cost determination and control, technical invoice verification and support in contract negotiations
- Collaboration in the preparation or defence of claims
- Presentation of all construction site activities to the Uniper Steering Committee and other stakeholders as required
- Coordination of site visits
- Targeted accident investigations and drawing conclusions from near-accidents (lessons learnt)
- Crisis management on the construction site in the event of unforeseen incidents
- Developing, implementing and monitoring compliance with the construction site regulations adopted for the respective project
- Liaising with the supervisory authorities and other authorities, insofar as this is necessary for a smooth workflow on the construction site and others are not responsible - in the sense of the instructions for “permits” and “building permits”
- Obtaining authorisations for activities that relate exclusively to the construction phase (e.g. extraction and discharge of groundwater)
- Responsible for rectifying any defects identified during acceptance of the system
- Arranging inspections and acceptances by supervisory authorities and commissioning on-site assessments
- Compliance with the “Construction site management” regulation
