REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer working on Aviation projects and frameworks.

  • Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering
  • Setting out experience
  • Experience and a proven track record of successful project delivery for a Main Contractor/sub-contractor on Airfield works as a Site Engineer
  • Experience and a proven track record of successful project delivery on Airfield work is essential to this role.
  • Practical experience of civil Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL).
  • Ability to obtain Airside pass in the form of Basic Disclosure Certificate
  • DfT recognised General Security Awareness Training
  • 5-year checkable work history
  • Clean UK driving license

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As Senior Site Engineer you will be directly responsible for the daily management of various civil engineering projects, airside within our portfolio of work at Leeds Bradford Airport. Day to day responsibilities would include:
As Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer, you will be reporting to the Project Manager and/or Site Agents and will be accountable for the weekly planning and ongoing delivery of a multitude of site based works around the region.

Day to day responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Site Safety, Health Environmental and Quality responsibilities for all site activities
  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications for site based activity / engineering.
  • Setting out and surveying works on site
  • Ensuring that site engineering is carried out in a professional, systematic and accurate manner.
  • Supervision of works on site including labour, plant and subcontractors.
  • Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all site activities.
  • Taking off and ordering of materials.
  • Daily and weekly planning of site works being carried out, including assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other documentation.
  • Day to day management of sub-contractors and engineers as required
