We are seeking a Senior Site Engineer for our Stations and buildings framework in the Wales & Western region. We will be delivering several new stations located in West Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire alongside a series of Access for All (AfA) projects spread across the region between 2024 and 2029.
You’ll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)
You will be responsible for managing and providing survey and setting out information to enable designs to be processed and sites to construct the works. You will also carry out quality assurance checks, liaise with site and development teams, and lead a professional and efficient site engineering team.

ABOUT YOU…. (WHAT YOU ARE SKILLED AT, YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS)

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills, qualifications and experience.

  • An industry recognised qualification such as a HND, NVQ or similar in a Civil Engineering/Building or related course, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in the use of CAD drawing tools
  • Experienced at working within a Rail environment
  • Good all-round rail, CDM and engineering knowledge with relevant experience in suitable disciplines, such as Temporary works, Civils, M&E, Geotechnical and/or rail disciplines like permanent way, signaling, telecoms and E&P.
  • Able to manage and lead a site engineering team, providing training and coaching as required
  • Able to work in a safe, planned, and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Able to communicate effectively with site and development teams, customers, and suppliers
  • Able to deliver high-quality setting out and engineering input, meeting project deadlines and specifications
  • Able to carry out rigorous quality assurance checks, ensuring right first time construction
