POSITION OVERVIEW:
Diligent is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to augment our Global SRE team. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for Diligent’s Kubernetes platform, which hosts multiple global SaaS applications. Our global Kubernetes platform resides in multiple private Diligent datacenters and in multiple public Cloud providers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and have extensive experience working with large Kubernetes deployments.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Proven experience with designing, building, securing, and managing Kubernetes at scale.
- Extensive experience with Rancher and a broad knowledge of the cloud ecosystems.
- Experience with AWS EKS and AWS Fargate is a plus.
- Experience with Kubernetes networking and knowledge on how traffic flows within pods, load balancers and the Internet.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring tool such as Signalfx and ELK stack.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Cross functional collaboration skills and relationship building skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Able to drive technical initiatives across different teams working with Staff Engineers.
- Bring technical excellence to the team and help the teams to achieve technical excellence.
- Able to come up with the proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs and solutions.
- Able to mentor and guide Staff Engineers across different teams.
- Expert with Industry standards.
