Our opportunity
As Senior Site Supervisor, you will contribute to the Construction operations ensuring that “The Mirvac Way’s” core values and vision are preserved whilst promoting a strong professional image of the Construction Division.

Responsibilities:

Assume accountability for delivering of sub contractual trade requirements ensuring subcontractors complete their works within their time/cost and quality obligations.
Liaise with relevant Site and Project Engineers to issue site instructions and provide associated cost forecasting advice to the Project Administrator. Note: Only issue instructions with potential for variations to the subcontract value in consultation with the Project Engineer, Site Manager and/or Contract Administrator.
Ensure you are familiar with the Subcontract agreement “Scope of Works”. Review all documentation issued to subcontractors to limit any s/c variations from a design change/clarification and if appropriate (in consultation with the project consultants and Project Engineer), come up with alternative details that will not incur additional s/c costs, but deliver the required intent.
Maintain construction records in Daily Diaries of actual activity durations, number of worker’s, delays etc to provide evidence for any subcontractor claims against their contract agreements. Assist the PM with subcontractor administration, including progress claims, forecasts, register of back charges, delays and variation management. (Note: Diaries are to be submitted weekly to the Site Manager for sign off).
Ensure progress on-site is in accordance with programs to ensure that all milestones are being met for your areas of responsibility. Ensure that resources, plant and equipment are adequate to achieve construction program milestones.
Control and coordination of subcontractors. Overall site coordination ensuring all trades have a clear and clean work area and avoid clashes that may affect productivity outcomes.
Examine documentation for completeness and constructability to identify and correct hindrances to future activities. Liaise with subcontractors, consultants and statutory authorities and convene any special on or off-site meetings as may be required to resolve misunderstandings or matters in dispute and ensure that the resolution is correctly documented.
Manage the complete “Defect Inspection” (sign-off sheets) Process for the service trades prior to sheeting, guaranteeing Mirvac’s quality standards.
The daily management of the Workplace Risk Management Plan (WRMP) in close coordination with the project safety coordinator, Construction Manager and Safety Representative
