ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• BSc or Masters Degree in Sleep Medicine or Medical Science equivalent
• Medical scientific background for Adult and/or Paediatric Sleep Disorders
• RPSGT or equivalent certification in Polysomnography highly desirable
• Paediatric PSG procedures and NATA accreditation experience are desirable
• Experience in the operation and troubleshoot for either or both Alice LDx and Compumedics Grael sleep systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of professional standards
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Willingness to implement new technology
• High level verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
• Well-developed computer literacy skills

We invest in our staff’s development and provide a culture that allows you to grow. We are looking for an experienced Senior Sleep Technician to join our small team based in Potts Point, Sydney. Under the direction of the Director – Hospital and Clinic and with the support of the Nurse Unit Manager, the role is responsible for scoring, technical support and troubleshooting, and some day to day running of the laboratory by liaising with Admitting Physicians and guiding the set-up, monitoring and scoring staff in order to ensure clinical excellence in the sleep laboratories technology, monitoring and scoring practices.
