Description:

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to individuals and families in need. You will play a crucial part in assessing client needs, developing intervention plans, and advocating for the well-being of your clients. This position also involves supervising and mentoring junior social workers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective support.

SKILLS

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and reporting.
  • Proven experience in supervising and mentoring staff within a social work setting.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex situations and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while also being self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience when dealing with challenging situations or behaviours.
