Position Overview

Fusion CI/CD/Test System is a critical and sophisticated engineering infrastructure and pipeline for Fusion 360 build, development, testing, and delivery. It is built and running on modern cloud computing technology.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our newly established service test automation team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality and productivity improvements and foster a strong culture of engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to define system architecture and requirements
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable backend services
- Develop and maintain backend services, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and maintainable
- Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in backend development
- Ensure the quality of the backend codebase through code reviews, automated testing, and other quality control measures
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years of experience in backend system development
- Strong proficiency in modern backend frameworks, such as Java and Spring
- Proficiency in at least one relational database system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and understanding of database architecture, design principles, and normalization
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc., and how to deploy and manage applications on them
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in implementing test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of mocking and stubbing techniques and tools
- Experience with API testing, performance testing, and scripting/programming languages commonly used for test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Ruby)
- Experience with caching mechanisms like Redis, Varnish, Memcached, etc., to improve scalability and efficiency
- Experience in front-end development

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
