WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5-7 years of relevant software development experience
• Demonstrated history of contributing significant features to a product as a coder.
• Proven experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (Go, Java, C# or any other modern language preferred). Willingness to learn and work in multiple languages, including Go
• Solid high- and low-level design skills – describe the problem at a high level, negotiate the scope of the problem, abstract the problem, break it down into implementable pieces. Able to scope and handle unknowns.
• Demonstrated history of decomposing complex solutions into well-defined components and designing component APIs.
• Willingness to work with a still-evolving technology stack
• Demonstrated quick learner
• Adaptable to a dynamic environment
• Interest in developing cloud-based, horizontally scalable enterprise software

Highly desired skills & experience

• Solid Cloud knowledge, including Kubernetes (K8s) for orchestrating containerized environments and Docker for containerization)
• Experience designing and implementing database and query engines
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming.
• Experience developing distributed, cloud-based enterprise software

• Ability to write performant code, ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable and maintainable features of our cloud-native backend system
