We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute and enhance our promotions platform that is vital to our partner’s experience and company’s success. Working as part of a dynamic collaborative engineering team, your expertise in core technologies and tools will be crucial as you take ownership of your code from creation to production.

What you will do:

  • Work on significant critical projects with limited or no supervision.
  • Play a major role in design of solutions to solve business problems.
  • Automate and execute tests at all test levels.
  • Proactively participate in team processes including backlog refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and estimation.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of development team processes.
  • Drive innovation through research into new technologies.
  • Mentor other members of the development team.
  • Demonstrates initiative and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.

Skills required:

  • 5+ years of Software Development experience.
  • Strong technical skills in programming, particularly in writing production-quality code (e.g. Java, Python etc.).
  • Proficiency in Spring, Maven, Restful Web-Services and messaging platforms.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Experience in writing, drawing and reviewing technical documents.
  • Proficiency in unit/integration testing.
  • RDBMS (such as Oracle and PostgresSQL) Knowledge.
  • Experience in scaling applications for performance and availability.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills and a proven track record of effective teamwork and adaptability to evolving technologies.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with observability tools such as New Relic and Grafana.
  • Experience in knowledge sharing within the team and across teams.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies and Apache Pulsar.
  • Knowledge in data structures and algorithms.

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
