REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Proficiency in C# ASP.NET
  • Expertise in HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Experience with coaching and uplifting other developers, and the confidence to challenge the status quo.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of Jira and GitHub
  • A test-driven approach to engineering
  • An equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree as per Australian Standards preferably in computer science or software development.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SPECIFICS

The Role – Senior Software Engineer
Reports To – Engineering Manager
Location – Melbourne, VIC
Hybrid work model – WFH and office.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Development, maintenance and support of a C# ASP.NET | Open-source web framework for .NET web application
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and other stakeholders within Australia and internationally to meet customers’ needs
  • Contribute to code reviews and automated testing
  • Participate in daily stand-up and regular refinement and planning meetings as part of a team-based, agile/scrum environment
  • Work autonomously and pair up with team members when appropriate
