Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will be entrusted with critical responsibilities that directly impact our company’s success in the field of microscopy control and analysis software. Your role will encompass:

  • You will be at the forefront of developing user interfaces for microscopy control and analysis software, meticulously ensuring optimal functionality and an outstanding user experience.
  • You will use your expertise in C++ as well as design and implement software solutions that focus on crafting intuitive user interfaces, primarily utilizing the powerful capabilities of the Qt framework.
  • You will conceptualize and develop hardware-proximate interfaces that ensure secure and efficient communication between system components—an essential aspect of our advanced technological infrastructure.
  • You will consistently utilize version control systems like Git, build systems such as CMake, and CI workflows to uphold a robust and stable software development environment, facilitating smooth collaboration and deployment.
  • You will assume key responsibilities in project and process coordination, guiding structured implementation strategies that ensure the successful delivery of our software initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have extensive knowledge of object-oriented design, particularly in developing versatile applications using the Qt framework.
  • You have a solid history of creating complex applications that prioritize performance, showcasing your ability to tackle ambitious projects.
  • Your experience shines in creating intuitive user interfaces for the acquisition and analysis of image and sensor data. You have a particular knack for scientific visualization, coupled with a strong capability for efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Your in-depth understanding of measurement technologies—e.g. in imaging procedures or flow cytometry—enhances your ability to contribute to advancements in these fields.
  • You demonstrate a capacity for independent, structured work methodologies, with a valuable background in agile practices that foster collaboration and quick iterations.
  • You possess English language proficiency at the B2 level and German at the B1 level at least, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), enabling you to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment.
