Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer- Androids with expertise in Android platform and full stack experience to join our Payments Core team as Android Developer and play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for our Wallet. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS…

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year’s experience in software engineering or related area., We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering code that’s readable, maintainable, testable, scalable, reusable, and efficient
  • Working in an Agile team with engineers, designers, and product managers to solve problems as part of a team
  • Thinking from the customer’s perspective to recommend design improvements
  • Collaborating with backend teams to design effective and understandable APIs
  • Following established architecture patterns and suggesting improvements
  • Implementing new features according to specifications
  • Investigating and fixing bugs
  • Building unit and UI tests
  • Learning and implementing the latest technologies
  • Mentoring fellow engineers
  • Participating in on-call rotations (daytime hours) to help our Support team solve problems for customers.
