REQUIREMENTS

  • Design, document, and implement software applications and architectures that balance customer needs, technical constraints, and operational goals.
  • Translate project requirements into system designs and technical blueprints for web, mobile, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize features, assess feasibility, and define project roadmaps.
  • Evaluate and integrate modern technologies, tools, and frameworks such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, .NET and cloud platforms.
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate technical solutions.
  • Lead technical reviews, establish coding best practices, and mentor development teams to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging advancements to enhance architectural strategies.
  • Conduct hands-on development for critical project components to ensure successful implementation.
  • Travel up to 20% to present system demonstrations, collaborate with stakeholders, and gather field insights.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to receive a TS Clearance
  • An active TS Clearance or active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS is preferred

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing software systems, with a focus on scalable, maintainable, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Hands-on expertise in modern software development stacks, such as MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js, Electron.js, Nest.js, Kafka.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, .NET and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Jest, Detox).
  • Strong understanding of networking, APIs, and database systems (both SQL and NoSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and mentor teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with software systems for Department of Defense projects.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams to develop high-performance, user-centered applications.
