POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in backend development specializing in NodeJS/Typescript or GO to join our growing team. In this role, you will take on a hands-on approach to designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services and APIs that power our platform. You will be responsible for driving the development of high-quality features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. As a senior member of our team, you will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to strategic technical decisions

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Advanced knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: NodeJS/Typescript, GO
• At least 3 yrs experience in building enterprise scale RESTful APIs with test driven development
• Significant experience in system design and architecture of enterprise scale backend services
• Demonstrated experience in designing data schemas
• Significant experience in PostgreSQL or other flavors of SQL
• At least 3 yrs experience in using AWS or similar cloud based platforms
• Some experience in developing serverless applications
• Some experience with Docker based deployments

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in contributing, building, or maintaining NPM packages
• Experience working with and building services around 3rd party vendors
• Experience mentoring junior engineers

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be based in the US, ideally in the DFW area

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred

• Backend software development
• Creating and maintaining documentation on any product/feature development contributions
• Ownership and support of contributed features and applications
• Collaborating and communicating with the product team on projects
• Research and resolve reported bugs
• Adherence to security standards
• Scrum Participation
• Researching integrator documentation and defining technical requirements for projects
• Participate as technical resource in meetings and communications with project stakeholders
• Training and mentoring junior engineers
