Every day, the Bazaarvoice engineering team tackles interesting and challenging problems across virtually every major computer science problem domain, and we do it all at a massive scale. Bazaarvoice is looking for outstanding people who are passionate about building great software, and want their work to have real-world impact. Product data is one of the driving forces of Bazaarvoice and is at a scale that is difficult to comprehend.
This engineer will join the team working on our Product Catalog platform which stores and distributes data about more than 2.2 billion client products, with greater than 200 million updates ingested every day. This data is used for experiences such as powering our syndication network, which allows clients to collect and share user generated content like ratings and reviews. Within social commerce the data allows clients to create smarter shopping experiences with social content.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong software development knowledge in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Javascript, Typescript.
  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Github Actions is a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (Subversion, Git).
