SENIOR PHP SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Full Time
Based in Brisbane – Work from home options
Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 plus super

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have:

• Five+ years relevant experience;
• A recognised postgraduate qualification in Software Engineering;
• Strong experience with Laravel framework, preferably recent versions
• Strong experience with Dockerizing a PHP Laravel application
• Strong experience in distributed architecture for highly available and scalable applications.
• Strong experience in debugging performance and other related issues using technologies like “profiling” and custom logging.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and others
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of database design and management, particularly with MySQL
• Experience with Git and code versioning tools and CI/CD workflows
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
• Experience with PowerBI or alternative BI platforms.
• Experience with RPA and process automation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Desirable:
• Experience with other PHP frameworks such as Symfony or CodeIgniter
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

Summary:
We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in PHP development, AWS, and Laravel framework. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel framework
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and others to deploy, manage and monitor web applications
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers
• Participate in the development of technical documentation, such as API documentation, user guides, and development standards
• Troubleshoot and debug web applications as needed
