What You’ll Do
We’re building a new squad in our Mississauga office, working across the whole stack to build new components and features to expand our next-generation Cloud Integrated suite. We are looking to build a team that can work independently across the whole stack – JS, Java and Python – you will be an expert in at least one of these, and ideally all three! You will work closely with Architects, Product Managers, and other engineering teams around the world to solve interesting problems at scale. You will be deeply engaged and hands-on in the full development lifecycle from designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and improving our products and engineering process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with Product Management, UX designers, X1 platform engineers, and the larger engineering team to deliver high quality product features in the cloud.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Deliver services and components through CI/CD and automated testing
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architectures, processes, and procedures.
  • Be part of rota that includes the entire team to remediate issues in production if needed
  • Craft resilient, secure, and efficient code, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Demonstratable ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Experience maintaining enterprise npm projects, including private packages, managing dependency upgrades and package audits
  • Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environment
  • Proven track record of leading a project the design phase through delivery
  • At least two and preferably all of:
  • Experience in building cloud based microservices in Go
  • Experience in building cloud based microservices in Java
  • Experience in building cloud based microservices in P ython
  • Deep knowledge of web frameworks, such as, Angular or React
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and building/maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and optimizing systems for data processing at scale within AWS
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services, such as; S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda etc. Knowledge and experience on Kubernetes is desirable
  • Experience with high concurrency applications, multithreading, low-latency, servers architectures
  • Experience in Agile environment using approaches such as Scrum
