REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience scaling SaaS services and infrastructure
  • Goal-driven, positive attitude with strong communication skills
  • Proficient in AWS services, including EC2, RDS, EMR, VPC networking, S3, etc.
  • Comfortable with one or more of: Python, Ruby, Java, Groovy, Bash
  • Working knowledge with one or more of: Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Podman
  • Familiar with Istio, Karpenter, Kong, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Git
  • Linux systems experience
  • Passionate about developer experiences

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain internal automation that improves the efficiency, reliability and security of microservice operations and deployments
  • Maintain and improve production facing infrastructure such as Kubernetes and Cassandra
  • Develop new ways to improve the security of customer data following the least access principle
  • Educate and mentor fellow engineers on internal tooling and AWS architecture
  • Help make Kubernetes the foundation of our microservice environment
  • Work closely with our product teams to help establish, build, and maintain standards and best-practices for operationalising the Insight Platform, running inside the AWS cloud
  • Participate in sustainable on-call incident response followed by blameless postmortems
  • Automate infrastructure through Terraform, Ansible, Podman and Kubernetes
