At Enea Network Security, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our diverse, global development team to help create and enhance our essential cybersecurity products that protect over 2 billion people worldwide. We are the main provider of security software and intelligence for mobile networks and the communications provider industry, protecting against mobile signalling and messaging attacks.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team to develop telecoms-grade systems and work with cutting edge industry technologies in the cybersecurity domain.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of features and work in a team to evaluate, design and implement solutions. Technologies used include:

• Rust, C++, Java, Python, Clojure
• Angular, React
• Kafka, Kafka Streams, Elasticsearch, Redis, Prometheus, Kibana, SQL/RDBMS
• High Availability, Horizontal Scalability and Multi-Datacentre architectures.
• REST APIs
• Kubernetes, Docker
• Cloud : AWS, Azure, Openshift
• IP networking, TCP, SCTP
• Signalling: 5G, Diameter, SS7, GTP-C
• Messaging: SMS, SMPP, RCS, MMS, SIP

Key Attributes:

• 3-5 years in a Software Engineering role. Experience delivering significant software components either independently or as part of a team.
• Growth mindset, eager to learn, and take on new challenges.
• Competent in at least one of the development languages above and ability to learn other languages independently as required.
• Previous experience with some of the technologies listed above. Ability to learn new technologies independently as required.
• Experience writing concurrent and asynchronous software in a distributed architecture.
• Ability to deliver end to end solutions across multiple technologies.
• Identify problems proactively and work to define solutions.
• Ability to drive resolution of technical problems in cases where there is limited information available.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions and work estimates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication (English).
• The candidate should hold a computer science, engineering or other related degree.

This role is available as a 12-month+ self-employment contractor
