Our team’s mission is to improve the developer experience for front-end focused engineers at CircleCI. We look for opportunities to make large scale improvements to our front-end architecture, maintain our dependency web, and improve the user-experience through observability and performance.
As a team member, you’ll own crucial microservices and build features at the heart of our platform. You’ll also collaborate daily with empathetic, passionate, and creative colleagues all across the globe.

• Simplify and optimize existing services and scale our systems as we rapidly grow and evolve.
• Write sustainable, testable, high-quality, high-performance code.
• Support, maintain, and debug microservices in a complex distributed system.
• Work with a team to establish and maintain standards for front-end development, while improving the platform as a whole.
• Foster a culture of observability and monitoring: use operational data to help your team increase the stability, performance, and usage of our systems.
• Partner with members of a multi-functional team and other collaborators to set the direction of our product: learn about our business problems, explore solutions, weigh design tradeoffs, write and prioritize effective user stories to deliver maximum value in a balanced, incremental fashion.
