Senior Software Engineer - FE (React)- 24 Month FTC

Our Retail Team are responsible for all aspects of William Hill’s in store technology, with a particular focus on integrating the online experience for our customers into our 1400+ retail shops in the UK.
Your role is to keep our colleagues and customers connected, updating our existing platform and systems while ensuring our customers have exemplary technology at their fingertips.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Professional development experience with TypeScript ES6, React, Jest, and Git
• You must have the ability to write clean, maintainable, and high-quality TypeScript code, adhering to established standards and processes
• Experience with automated software testing, including unit, functional, and integration tests using tools like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine
• Comfortable developing rich interactive features without relying on third-party plugins when necessary

• You’ll collaborate with other functions within the team
• Solve problems and create solutions autonomously while staying aligned with the team’s tech and business priorities
• Align with the development standards and best practices of the team
• Refactor code when it provides a clear benefit
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure deliverables meet non-functional requirements
• You will work with QA to align tests with the solution and complement development tests
• Adhere to or help define the application architecture in collaboration with architects and senior engineers
