At Wealthbox, we serve thousands of financial advisors with our modern CRM software, which provides an easy way to manage client relationships, organize and execute workflow processes, and collaborate with a team in a powerful and beautiful software solution.
We are seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer in our Engineering department, reporting to our VP of Engineering. This role is responsible for working closely with engineering, design and product leadership to implement user-facing functionality for various product initiatives. You’ll be part of a team that’s focused on delivering product features and updates that deliver value directly to Wealthbox end-users.
A typical day might include implementing a new reusable component, mocking up a prototype for a new feature of the web/mobile app, and pair programming with another engineer. The Senior Front-End Software Engineer will work directly with Wealthbox’s internal teams and will be instrumental in the success of Wealthbox products and related initiatives.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience, largely focused on front-end
• Experience developing user interfaces using React and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Four-year degree in engineering, design, art or a related field
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or back-end development is a plus
• Experience with component library development/maintenance is a plus
• UI/UX design experience is a plus
• Focus on writing clear, maintainable, tested code
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent written communication skills and a strong ability to contribute to the team

• Implement front-end code and user-facing functionality using React, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, CSS and related technologies.
• Collaborate with the product, design and engineering teams to deliver a best-in-class software product.
• Perform rigorous code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Evaluate trade-offs and prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to our internal design system and component library and help keep our internal documentation up to date.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends to keep Wealthbox’s user interfaces current and innovative.
