Position Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer position, Intraoperative Neuromonitoring, is responsible for the software applications & systems development function on software for both new product introduction and sustaining.

Essential Functions:

  • Developing and maintaining software applications & systems development
  • Developing prototypes, proofs of concept in addition to production-quality solutions
  • Ensuring efficient performance and scalability of solutions
  • Demonstrating a passion for software development, software craftsmanship, and test-driven development
  • Effectively plan, track, and communicate software development efforts, either individually or as a team
  • Contributing to the design, testing and documentation of software solutions
  • Managing lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, testing and delivery to product management
  • Prioritizing work to identify the root cause and creating a corrective action plan that ensures timely resolution of issues
  • Following software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
  • Working closely with cross functional engineers, developers and Product Management throughout organization to influence product development, assisting or improving products
  • Performing duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
  • Performing other software development duties, including DevOps functions
  • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensuring Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Representing the company in a professional manner and upholding the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • At least 5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and TDD
  • Proficient understanding of software product design and development with object-oriented languages
  • Strong proficiency in .NET C# in a Windows and/or Web environment
  • Strong proficiency in Full stack development, .NET back end (C# preferred), JavaScript or TypeScript front end, HTML5, SCSS or CSS
  • Strong proficiency in Dependency injection/Inversion of Control
  • Git source control experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with C/C++ is a plus
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (LitElement, Webcomponents or Angular), SignalR/Websockets, Webpack, YAML and PowerShell is a plus
  • Experience with Qt is a plus
  • Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Medical device experience in a regulated industry is a plus. Familiar with IEC 62304
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
