WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test (a.k.a SDET) to support our Payments platform team supporting the creating and evolving of a platform to enable automated test and ensure the quality and reliability of our payments processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in a programming language such as Java.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI) and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Experience with test visibility within Observability platforms like Datadog, grafana, etc.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of the testing pyramid with experience to write tests for each level.
• English language proficiency (intermediate level or above), both written and spoken.

• Design, develop, and maintain test platforms, and frameworks for frontend and backend systems.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD process and observability platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and products.
• Write unit, component, integration, UI/UX, API, e2e, and contract tests.
• Identify potential test gaps and propose solutions to address them.
• Work closely with software engineers to understand architecture, code structure, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in design and code reviews to promote quality and identify potential test requirements.
• Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and contributing to high product quality.
• Analyze test results and provide regular reports on test coverage, defects, and overall quality metrics. Make it automated as a part of the testing platform.
• Provide 2nd level of support and bug fixing as a member of the site reliability process.
• Writing, maintaining, and supporting test documentation.
• Perform load, scalability, and performance testing.
• Monitor production and test environment health.
