Job Overview:
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET and React) to join our team. In this role, you will work in an Agile Scrum team to develop our industry-leading Applied Epic software product using C#, React, TypeScript, and SQL Server, as well as maintain or enhance legacy features using VB.NET. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum team members to deliver high-quality technical solutions that answer our client’s business requirements. We are looking for developers to deliver clean, well-written, enterprise-scale applications.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can work 100% remotely, or from an Applied Systems office
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- 4+ years of experience creating enterprise software using C#, .NET 5/6, TypeScript, React, SQL Server, and Visual Studio
- Familiar with Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum or Kanban using tools like Jira and Confluence
- Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to deliver solutions in committed timeframes
- Proven technical abilities
- Provide technical leadership to the team
- Skilled troubleshooting and research abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability and willingness to be part of a high-functioning team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities:
- Become a dedicated participant of your Agile scrum team
- Collaborate with other members on the Agile Scrum team to self-manage feature development to completion
- Collaborate with Application, Enterprise, and Test Architects on technical solutions
- Participate in sprint reviews of completed functionality at the end of each sprint
- Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers
- Mentor and guide junior-level developers
