WHAT WE EXPECT

• 5+ year of relevant professional experience
• Expertise in architecting, building and securely maintaining infrastructure running on AWS in an immutable (declarative) fashion
• Expertise with Docker and orchestrators (Kubernetes)
• Expertise with designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably with GitLab) and IaC (Terraform and Helm)
• Working experience in Java and TypeScript programming languages
• Working experience partnering with product managers and stakeholders to plan new features and improvement
• Ideal tech stack: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, GitLab, Argo CD, RDBMS (ideally Postgres), SpringBoot, NestJS
• Working experience nurturing and guide engineers through coaching and mentoring

Our self-developed product “Crypto-AML” is one of the most sophisticated products in the Digital Assets industry for ensuring regulatory compliance of crypto in- and outflows. We use it in our internal banking processes and license it to other regulated institutions who deal with Crypto Assets.
We’re seeking a senior engineer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization, especially blockchain that’s always pushing boundaries. Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of our applications. You will have experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back- end languages.
You’ll be joining an amazing team working at the forefront of new technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front- end and back- end architecture, and ultimately, deliver amazing global user experiences. This role requires a technically proficient individual who can innovate within the fintech space, collaborating closely with various departments to contribute to Sygnum’s success in the evolving crypto compliance landscape.

As a senior engineer with devops background, you will:

• Actively participate in developing new features and improvements by writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage
• Constantly enhance the quality and security of applications, identifying existing technical debt and making plans to repay it
• Respond to production incidents promptly and efficiently, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity
• Collaborate with platform engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines and streamline release processes
• Collaborate with site reliability engineers and solution architects to optimize application availability, resilience, and observability
• Nurture and guide more junior software engineers through coaching and mentoring
