Responsibilities:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong C++ background to join our Airport Weather Information System team building a market leading software for enabling runway traffic management. The role is a full stack engineer but can be tailored in case of a good match. You will report to Development Manager, Software.
AviMet is a scalable and highly configurable weather observation, monitoring and reporting software. It is the foundation of Vaisala’s market-leading position in the global airport weather monitoring business. Some of the users are pilots, air traffic controllers, forecasters, and observers who need accurate weather information in real-time to ensure safe and efficient flight operations at airports. AviMet obtains data from sensors and remote sensing devices and provides information to all the stakeholders at an airport to support better decision-making and improved safety and efficiency.
Your responsibilities include:
- Working on existing software built in C++
- Contributing to efforts towards building a new version of existing application using modern scaling, cloud native principles and technologies
- Work with technologies like TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, Docker swarm.
