As a member of the Core File Services Group (CFSG) at NetApp, you will be part of a team of highly talented people who are experts at industry standard storage protocols, caching, data management and data protection solutions. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibility:
The individual will be responsible for non-routine and unstructured tasks, requiring creative solutions with more inter-dependencies and with processes that are less defined. He/she will be responsible for the business outcomes the functional area they own feeds into. They will ensure the right outcomes by providing the appropriate oversight of all project deliverables, managing stakeholders, influencing product roadmaps and influencing key technical decisions. He/she will own building the team, coaching and developing the skill sets of the team to help execute on the required business outcomes. They will continuously review processes and methodologies to improve operational efficiency and development velocity. They will engage with customers on escalations and ensure that there is continuous improvement in all areas under their purview to deliver maximum value to our customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of related experience with a minimum of 2 years of managing managers
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage multiple teams including senior engineers
  • Experience with the systems engineering domain requiring concepts such as computer architecture, operating systems, file systems, networking, algorithms & data structures
  • Experience in managing software development projects with C/C++ in LINUX/UNIX environments
  • Clear understanding of the software product development cycle
  • Demonstrated experience managing large software development projects
  • Experience with developing budgets and predicting project costs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • BS in CS, CE or a related field
