Zayo is seeking a Senior Software Project Manager, OSP Controls - Sitetracker to oversee the long-term implementation of Sitetracker, a project management software built on the Salesforce platform, for Zayo’s Project Management and Construction Management teams.
The Senior Software Project Manager, OSP Controls - Sitetracker will lead the software deployment and long-term life cycle, ensuring that the solution aligns with the operational needs of the Project Management teams who rely on Sitetracker to manage their day-to-day business activities.
This Senior Software Project Manager, OSP Controls will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and IT professionals, to ensure the successful configuration, integration, and adoption of Sitetracker.
This role requires a blend of software project management expertise, knowledge of construction projects, and ideally includes hands-on experience with Salesforce or Salesforce-based platform(s).
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and have a proven track record of managing large-scale software implementation projects in the construction or telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end, execution, testing, and implementation of a system integration project (Sitetracker), ensuring all current and future phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards and goals.
- Lead direct and indirect members of a project management team to develop and manage detailed project plans with accurate schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee system integration and data integration processes, ensuring that Sitetracker interfaces seamlessly with existing systems and workflows (both in current state architecture as well as adapting to future-state environments).
- Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and issue resolution.
- Facilitate user training and change management activities to ensure smooth adoption and effective use of Sitetracker across all active teams.
- Monitor and report on project progress, KPIs, and risks to senior leadership, providing regular updates and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Implement quality assurance practices to ensure the Sitetracker platform meets operational needs and compliance standards, in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with technical teams to address any system issues throughout the lifecycle of the software product.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to software implementation and project management in the fiber construction industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related business field.
- Experience with Sitetracker or similar project management tools used in large infrastructure or fiber construction projects is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is beneficial, but not mandatory.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform App Builder) are a plus.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing complex software implementation projects, preferably in the telecommunications or construction industries.
- Proven track record of delivering software projects involving platforms built on Salesforce (Sitetracker preferred).
- Strong background in managing multi-disciplinary teams and working with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Experience in system integration, data migration, and configuration of enterprise-level software solutions.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams to an intended result.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail in project planning and execution.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, specifically Agile and Scrum), tools, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solver who tackles challenges head-on, thrives in ambiguity, and confidently drives progress in uncertain areas with moderate supervision and guidance.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Suite products.
- Travel as required (Less than 10% estimated) for critical meetings.
- Approved to work in the United States.
Base Salary Range: $98,500 - $136,900 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
