About the job
We are seeking a mid-level Solicitor or Senior Associate with a background in projects and/or project finance to join our busy team.
Our work

You will be responsible for complex and varied legal work which often sets the pace in the market. The team advises on:

  • development and financing of projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors
  • energy transition projects (including renewable energy and transmission projects)
  • PPP transactions
  • energy trading
  • acquisition and divestment of projects

Our team act on the deals and projects that the market takes notice of - across each and every stage of a project’s lifecycle. The team is nimble enough to adapt to market changes and continues to lead the way on the largest and most complex transactions.
We advise across the full spectrum of energy, resources and infrastructure projects nationally.
About the team
We bring outstanding teamwork and in-depth knowledge to every transaction and work closely with each other and other colleagues around the firm. In this role you will work closely with Jo Crew who advises sponsors and financiers on major infrastructure and energy projects, including PPP transactions, independent power projects, secondary market transactions, privatisations and energy trading.

You will have

  • recognised projects and/or project finance experience gained in a similar environment and enjoy working as part of a committed team
  • team focus, to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships
  • excellent analytical, communication and research skills, to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice
  • strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability, you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients
  • first rate experience of drafting documents (including deeds and agreements, opinions, advices etc)
  • enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities, participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks
