Description:
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join us in Auckland, New Zealand. The role will be focused on our FSI sector, in this role you will be the catalyst who creates possibilities from solving problems and/or helping Customers use innovation to deliver benefits. It will be vital to establish working relationships with our customers. You’ll discover and analyse our customers’ business and technical needs and collaborate with the Sales and our Delivery Teams to help customers invest wisely in the right solutions from across Red Hat’s portfolio, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift (ie. Kubernetes), and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (ie. Enterprise Wide Automation).
As a Senior Solution Architect, you’ll need to have excellent communication and people skills, orchestrating technical engagements and be a major part of the experience our customers have with Red Hat. You’ll also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and a thorough understanding of business drivers and IT problems faced by enterprise customers. In the evangelist part of the role, you may be asked to speak at events and technical forums to everyone from CIOs to user groups about Innovative Solutions using Red Hat technology. This job requires an appetite for learning, internal motivation, and good time management skills to achieve Red Hat’s goals.
What you will do:
- Build trusted relationships with key accounts to gain a deep understanding of customer business drivers, IT environments, and strategies, assisting the Red Hat Account Team to match Red Hat’s offerings and solutions to address these requirements
- Use education sessions, technology validations, and workshops to guide engaging conversations with your customers that solve customer problems and result in the successful adoption of Red Hat’s offerings and solutions
- Promote sales growth within your set of named accounts and ensure that software subscription, net-new business, and professional services targets are met while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with Red Hat
- Demonstrate ownership of the technical relationships and sales cycle within a set of named accounts in your territory
- Provide timely presales technical support to the sales team through the development of compelling proposals that address customer business problems
- Research and write the responses to technical sections of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret industry, market, and technology trends as a foundation for roadmaps for our offerings and technologies
- Communicate value, progress, and status of sales opportunities to all stakeholders
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience as a Pre Sales engineer, Consultant, Developer, IT Architect, or equivalent working in or supporting large organisations
- 3+ years of experience working with Cloud infrastructure, Automation, Kubenetes and a background in software development
- Excellent questioning, listening, document writing, and presentation skills
- An understanding of the challenges customers face adopting Hybrid Cloud models
- Record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organisations
- Experience across one or more business verticals like financial services, telecommunications, media, and government
- Experience or exposure to application modernization
- Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures
- Knowledge of and experience with public cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Engine (GCE) and Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of modern methodologies like agile development, DevOps and associated capabilities like automation, orchestration, and configuration management
