WHO WE ARE:

German Gymnasium was originally designed as the first purpose-built gym in England, and used by the German Gymnastics team for the 1864 Olympics. Now a Grade II listed building, German Gymnasium, is conveniently situated in the heart of vibrant King’s Cross. Serving an all-day grand café style menu across the ground floor and vast terraces, for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. With a nod to its heritage the menu reflects a Germanic influence. The restaurant on the upper floor has its own spectacular bar and semi-private dining room with views of the award-winning interior to match.

Responsibilities:

We are in search of a dynamic and passionate Senior Sous Chef with experience cooking or a passion for cooking Swiss, Austrian and German Cuisine.
You will have a profound understanding of culinary arts and leadership skills to spearhead our team towards delivering exceptional food and, consequently, an outstanding guest experience. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, you will uphold unwavering standards in service and kitchen management, placing significant emphasis on all aspects of Health and Safety.
As the Senior Sous Chef, your primary role entails overseeing and orchestrating all kitchen operations efficiently and effectively under the guidance of the Head Chef. From meticulous mise en place to seamless service execution, you will ensure the kitchen operates with precision, maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in food preparation.
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant is indispensable for this role. Knowledge of Adaco is desirable, but not essential
