Description:

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is responsible for managing pre-season and in-season Planning & Buying for Own Ecom platforms. In this role you are part of a team responsible for maximizing the sales, profitability & brand equity of the EMC (Emerging Markets Central) region by building the merchandising strategy for the market to drive the Ecommerce business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Manager (Ecommerce Channel) and Director Merchandising in executing EMC DTC merchandising goals and drive execution of DTC Strategy
  • Deliver financial targets including Net sales, Sell through, Standard Margin, Closing stock
  • Contribute to pre-season planning including Open-To-Buy (OTB) plan, pre-season product planning, option planning and ranging to build & drive the Ecom merchandising vision
  • Based on the OTB and the assortment plan, make the buying forecast ensuring consistency with the marketing strategy and historical data
  • Own the process of ranging, execution and assortment planning strategies for Ecommerce platform across EMC (Emerging Markets Central) region
  • Create size breakdowns according to market needs and incorporated in the buying process for Ecom
  • Participate in major go-to-market milestones to gain insight to key seasonal brand and BU strategies and initiatives including them in the Ecom outlook
  • Present the buy check for sign-off by DTC/Ecommerce leads
  • Drive weekly trade reports to optimize in-season trading opportunities
  • Excellent excel proficiencies with the ability to devise macro’s, develop and elevate buying processes through efficient excel reporting

Key Relationships:

  • Regional: Digital EM teams - Merchandising, Data Analytics, Digital Operations, MDM, Consumer Experience
  • Local: DTC, BUs, CTC, Marketing Activation, Finance/Controlling, Demand Planning

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of digital business with commercial mindset, ideally with knowledge of merchandising, financial planning, sales strategies, digital marketing, or online behavior
  • Good understanding of Retail Management processes & systems
  • Creative and clear passion for product and sports

  • Holistic thinker – establish and drive end-to-end strategies and initiatives encompassing multiple functions
  • Proficiency on MS Office Applications Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
  • Knowledge in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Power Query or other tools is a plus
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English fluently

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Buying, Product Design, Fashion Design, Retail Management, Business Management, ideally with Marketing and Sales focus or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5 Years total merchandising experience
  • Experience in e-Commerce is a plus
